  Not in the truth, but haunted by it...

  i am having trouble dealing with this little voice in the back of my head telling me that if i don't go back to meetings i won't go to the new system and everything i am doing is wrong blah blah blah.

  although i have agreed to a study i believe it is more to shut up this little voice rather than because i want to be a witness again.

  but if i don't go back i have to deal with this horrible feeling all the time.

  I have heard that little voice also.....

  the way I dealt with it was to not only distance myself from everything and anything JW related; but I also kept myself VERY BUSY....

  I suggest that you join a club; civic group; get involved with your community; meet new people ; have new positive experiences , etc. The idea is that if you continue to grow as a person without the JW networking, life takes on different meaning. It actuallly becomes smoother ; less condeming ;and you are in control of your own destiny. Is not that the way it should be?

  he decideds to found his own church.

  this church is almost exactly the same as the jehovah's witneses except for a few major changes .

  no, not at all.

  My response is usually one of tolerance and pity ( maybe pity is the wrong word)...perhaps more sympathetic to their lifestyle....but I will still say " thank you, NOT INTERESTED" .....door closes firmly

  afraid of the dark?

  song of solomon 3:7,8 has solomon so terrified of the "night" that he has 60 valient men with swords drawn circle his bed each night.

  the book has shown to be a reworked fertility goddess poem in other threads.

  the passage here seems to be betraying the superstition of night demons/monsters that roamed around slaying folks in their sleep.

  Yes, I believe in the teachings of science and technology.

  I emphatically DO NOT believe anything I was ever taught from Jehovahs Witnesses. I DO NOT believe in Christianity as the divine intervention.

  The world is a very big place ( despite the internet) and when you experience other cultures (and their religious practices) you cannot help but wonder that if there is a supreme being; why would he ( or she) choose one civilizaiton and culture over another to represent him?

  If you have studied ancient cultures ( other than what the Watchtower teaches) you would have futher evidence to keep asking that question.....

  If God did have a new system..would you want to be there?

  i was a witness for over forty years and for most of that time the "new world" "paradise" was not a place i ever wanted to live in.. there are many aspects of life in the 21st century that are great and i wouldn't want to give up.

  tv, internet, blues/jazz clubs etc etc.. i may be shallow.

  but there were other better reasons millions of people would have gone, wiped out by god: this never sat easy with me.. i told my elder father that i wouldn't want to live five minutes in god's new system, knowing that people i loved, had been killed by god because they didn't love him in the way he wanted.. just telling my father that has made me really wake up to how i really feel about my ex religion.. does a paradise earth as jw's depict appeal to you?

  wise up folks,.......

  there is a whole NEW SYSTEM out there waiting to be conquered. Forget the Adam and Eve garden of Eden the JWs said would be coming.

  The world beyond the JW border IS THERE, and the paradise will be what YOU make of it.

  You can be anything you want to be; do anything you want and more importantly THINK for yourself.

  I know this for a fact.....
